Registration information for IBARMS
Keystone 2009 Workshops
Coordinators who register staff members should ensure that BEFORE SUMMER BREAK, each participant knows which workshop he/she is attending and that each participant receives a copy of this information.
Materials to bring:
- Each PYP Level 2 participant (all subjects) must bring Making the PYP Happen because it will not be provided at the conference.
- Each MYP Level 2 participant (all subjects) must bring the corresponding subject guide, because guides will not be provided at the conference.
- Materials for MYP and PYP Levels 1 and 3 will be provided at the conference.

Hotel Information
The rustic yet elegant Keystone Lodge is located 1 ½ hours west of Denver. Bustling and energetic, Keystone’s original village has a festive atmosphere that includes shops, galleries, restaurants and the Keystone Lake. Many summer activities such as bike rental, horseback riding, hiking, and golf can be found just outside your door.
Hotel rooms cost as low as $110 per night but availability is limited. Studios, 1 & 2 bedroom condos range from $125 to $209 per night (3 and 4 bedroom condos also available). Call Keystone Group Reservations at 1-800-258-0437 to make lodging reservations before May 14, 2009. Mention that you are with the IBARMS workshop (group code CK2MYP9) to receive discounted rates. (These rates will be honored 3 days prior and 3 days after the workshop.) If you are able to prove you tax-exempt status, please make sure to request tax exemption at the time of reservation. Cancellations within 30 days of arrival will forfeit the full deposit amount. Cancellations made outside of 30 days of arrival will result in return of the deposit less a $30 processing fee, a standard for Colorado resorts.
Airport to Resort Shuttle
Discounted door-to-door ground transportation to and from Denver airport to Keystone Resort is available up to three days before and after the conference. Colorado Mountain Express has been selected to assist with your travel needs. To receive your 10% discounted rate, please call 1-800-525-6363 or visit us online in advance and reference your group code: IBARMS. Please allow up to two hours to travel by road from the airport to the resort.
Mountain Living: What you need to know
Dress for comfort. Some meals will be served outside, so dress in layers.
Altitude. Beautiful and scenic Keystone is nestled in the Rocky Mountains with an elevation of more than 9000 feet. People with special health concerns are advised to take the altitude into consideration.
Weather gear advice. You may want to spend some time outdoors in Colorado’s always interesting weather. Please bring walking shoes and rain wear.

College Credit Available
1 hour of graduate credit is available through Kent State University. Pre-registration is required, as is additional tuition and additional assessment.

Conference Substitutions and Cancellations
Substitutions can be made in writing through May 31, 2009 without charge. Substitutions are made on a space available basis when requested in writing.
Substitutions received after May 31, 2009 will be assessed a $20 late change fee.
On-site substitutions involving subject or level changes may be assessed a $50 fee.
Cancellations. Registrants unable to attend or send a substitute participant for the same workshop may receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee, provided the cancellation is requested in writing by May 31, 2009. Because conference arrangements are finalized on this date, we are unable to accommodate cancellation requests made after May 31, 2009.

Please notify us by May 1, 2009 of any special dietary or meeting room requests. We will make reasonable efforts to meet these special needs. Hotel room accommodations should be made directly with Keystone Resort at the time of room booking.
